It probably goes without saying, by the Ohio State University campus is a great location to grab a variety of outdoor shots. The entire campus is made up of lots of greenery and landscaping, nice brick architecture, brick paths, and lots of open areas for photography! A favorite location of ours here is Mirror Lake, which is a picturesque water location that is a perfect background for any photo. OSU campus boasts many distinct buildings and statues as well, with a combination of older brick and more modern glass buildings. There’s definitely a lot to see, which is why we really recommend this place for longer sessions since there’s a little bit of everything here. Lots of gardens and greenery, a large campus with diverse architectural structures, and of course it's filled with Ohio pride! You simply can’t go wrong with engagement sessions at Ohio State University campus!
Another favorite location of ours in the Columbus area is a historical German Village located within the German Village Society. This adorable village area is really just like stepping back in time. Full of charming brick streets and sidewalks, beautiful greenery and garden spaces, and delightful German village-style houses, this area is a great setting for any type of photo. We love strolling the streets and seeing the many different shops and restaurants - all of which are styled to replicate a real German village. This is a very cute location with lots of old-world charm, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to step back and get some very quaint photos with lots of greenery, parks, gardens, brick architecture, amazing stone statues and many other village-style features. Because of its versatility, this area is great for maternity shots, engagement shots, senior portraits, and more.

The Scioto Mile also has tons of walking and hiking trails that connect to other parks and gardens in the immediate area. Not to mention the huge fountain that makes a great backdrop for any shot!
